That's comparing pears to apples ... The DSP runs at 100 Mhz, but its a *dedicated* processor for DSP, it doesn't run an OS, a GUI, a HTTP server etc etc. And it has a separate controller. Its pretty juicy, well not as expandable as a Kyma, but that is a whole other pricerange ... You get lowlatency without patches, and: does your pc has programmable knobs and does it fit into a rack ? regards v
