Sorry, I missed the beginning of this thread. If you have someone who can do a little hacking, it should be easy to take an evelope follower plugin (there is one in the CMT LADSPA plugins) and just compare it's output against a signal level (eg. 0.01f). You could do all this in the universal panacea (pd ;), it could also produce an alert noise or something. - Steve
