Not true.  I have ProTools Free installed on a Windows box with no digi h/w
whatsoever.  PT Free can import files from other versions of PT.

(At least using the default Windows installer from DigiDesign.) If you're
talking about some other method of installing, then I think you're just
pulling my leg back. ;-)
