Ah, no, I misunderstood you, when you were talking about /dev/dsp. /dev/dsp is very near to the soundcard. You don't play music on it, you play ones and zeroes. What you want to do, does not require this low level. I would really recommend Pd (and using the "fiddle" external), or something like jMax, Spiral Synth Modular or similar. > Is it very hard?
