It appers to have something running under OSS as well. When I do some
testing to figure out what is going on, I get this:

$ ./timidity/timidity -ir 777

  /dev/dsp: Device or resource busy
  Couldn't open dsp device (`d')

  bind: Permission denied

So I can make it open /dev/dsp and a socket.
