is it possible to summarise the objections to the dssi approach for ladspa? Its difficult to get an overview from the archives, but this did seem to be the favourite. on the surface it looks like a good solution (gui as separate app, gui -> plugin-host ipc via osclite). It could free graphic artists to use the tools they are comfortable with, which is a prerequisite for the emergence of nice gui's. -- Tim Orford
