Well, that's exactly the point, isn't it. Within this enlightened, favoured and lucky community, no-one needs convincing - that would be preaching to the choir. The original poster wants to change opinions *outside* the community, where some people do think Linux audio's not up to scratch - or that it's hard to configure - or whatever. If they're wrong, the original poster was saying, let's change their minds.
yeah, what i'm saying is, right or wrong, its the -perception- that counts. jwz just bumped the 'linux audio sucks' scale a little, in certain infamous arena's, and the ALSA clan ought to fight back..
