I don't see the switch in that scenario. And if you are a 'pro' you'd probably use an ogg player using the 'pro' setup from the start.
you're missing the point: you're not a pro, you're someone who becomes a pro.
As was already pointed out, prosumer and professional users will in all probably have two different audio cards anyway.
