I just added set_rtlimits support to jack.el. If you have set_rtlimits in your path, all you need to do to convince jack.el to automatically use it is adding -R to your ~/.jackdrc, jack.el will automatically prefix the usual jack command line with a call to set_rtlimits -r ... If you don't have set_rtlimits in your PATH, you can customize `jack-set-rtlimits-program'. Finally, I am running jackd from my normal user account, in the same environment as I am typing this email. :-) -- CYa, Mario
