Virtual Midi perhaps? a virtual midi device that shows up in both ALSA and OSS. Route aplaymidi to the first virtual port and read the raw stream from the new port called /dev/midi? (one number higher than the highest number you had before) # insmod snd_virmidi > Lee > --
