Maybe doing sth like the following is less error-prone?

kthread_associate_blkcg(@css)
{
        if (current's kthread->blkcg_css)
                put kthread->blkcg_css and set it to NULL;
        if (@css)
                get @css and set kthread->blkcg;
}
