Ol
gostaria de saber o seguinte: em que parte da documentao est escrito que
/dev/hda5 a primeira partio lgica do primeiro disco ide?
Acho importante saber se localizar na documentao. Dessa vez no consegui.
Se algum puder me indicar...
na man page do comando mount no achei
no guia do usurio conectiva linux 7 tb no
no faq da conectiva tb no achei (li do 35.1 a 35.9)
eu j resolvi o problema. Eu estava tentando assim:
[root@hercules /root]# mount -t vfat /dev/hda2 /mnt/wind
mount: tipo de sistema de arquivos incorreto, opo invlida, superbloco
invlido em /dev/hda2,
ou nmero excessivo de sistemas de arquivos montados
(aren't you trying to mount an extended partition,
instead of some logical partition inside?)
e depois que encontrei a soluo na web (pesq. Google) fiz assim (e
funcionou) (coloquei o texto que encontrei no fim da msg)
[root@hercules /root]# mount -t vfat /dev/hda5 /mnt/wind
>I have an IDE drive on windows 98 split into 2 partitions. I can mount the
first partition without any problems, (hda1) but I can't seem to mount the
second partition.
no meu caso eu tenho uma partio fat16 e outra fat32

I'm having a similar problem. I have an IDE drive on windows 98 split into 2
partitions. I can mount the first partition without any problems, (hda1) but
I can't seem to mount the second partition. I've tried giving the command:
mount -t vfat /dev/hda2 /mnt/windowsdrive
and I've tried messing around a bunch with the drive number and letter too.
(hdb2, hda3, hda4, hda5, etc) but nothing seems to work. i get the error:
"mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda2, or too many
mounted file systems (aren't you trying to mount an extended partition
instead of some logical partition inside?)"
any ideas?

The solution that worked for me is the fact that logical partitions have
numbers 5 and up, so /dev/hda5 is the first logical partition on the first
(ide) disk. So hda7 is my F:-drive under Windows.
Didn't knew that ;)
