Antes utilizava o KPPP tranq�ilamente, por�m nesta �ltima semana n�o estou
conseguindo realizar a conex�o. Ao tentar utilizar o KPPP, este disca
normalmente (sem sinal de ocupado), por�m n�o consigo conectar, exibindo a
seguinte mensagem (pelo terminal):
Couldn't find interface ppp0: Dispositivo inexistente
Kernel supports ppp alright.
Depois de um bom tempo tentando conectar-se, o KPPP simplesmente reinicia uma
nova discagem, e come�a tudo de novo. Algumas vezes at� consigo conectar,
por�m nada de navegar. Em alguns casos quando fecho o KPPP, � exibida a
seguinte mensagem:
kppp: ERROR: write() in Modem::writeLine failed
kppp: ERROR: write() in Modem::writeLine failed
At� mesmo ao tentar conectar pela linha de comando, ocorre o seguinte:
# ppp-go
Serial connection established.
Using interface ppp0
Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS4
Depois de alguns demorados segundos...
Modem hangup
Connection terminated.
No Minicom, ocorre o seguinte:

Isto veio � ocorrer desde o in�cio da semana passada para c�, e n�o tenho
mais conseguido me conectar (entre 0:00 e 1:00). Somente neste �ltimo s�bado,
por volta das 3:00 horas de madrugada (que cheguei de uma festinha) � que
resolvi tentar e consegui me conectar. Depois, nunca mais. J� reinstalei a
distro (Slackware 9.1), criei uma nova conta pelo KPPP e, sem qualquer
altera��o no sistema, o problema ainda persistia.
Segue o conte�do de /etc/ppp/option para an�lise:
