O problema o seguinte:
1) O scanner reconhecido pelo sane-find-scanner:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] pinho]$ sane-find-scanner
# No SCSI scanners found. If you expected something different, make sure that
...
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8 [EPSON], product=0x011d [EPSON Scanner], chip=LM983x?) at libusb:001:004
# Your USB scanner was (probably) detected. It may or may not be supported by
# SANE. Try scanimage -L and read the backend's manpage.
# Not checking for parallel port scanners. ...
2) Mas no consigo us-lo:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] pinho]$ scanimage scanimage: no SANE devices found
[EMAIL PROTECTED] pinho]$ xscanimage
[xscanimage] No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something
different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and
detected by sane-find-scanner (if appropriate). Please read
the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ,
manpages).[EMAIL PROTECTED] pinho]$ scanimage --device plustek:libusb:001:004
scanimage: open of device plustek:libusb:001:004 failed: Error during device I/O
[EMAIL PROTECTED] pinho]$ xscanimage plustek:libusb:001:004
(aparece uma janela mostrando erro de I/O tambm)
3) No desespero, editei o /etc/sane.d/dll.conf e deixei somente o backen plustek (o que suporta o meu scanner). No alterou nada.
4) No arquivo /etc/sane.d/plustek.conf
troquei [usb] por [usb] 0x04B8 0x011D
e
device auto por device libusb:001:004
e os mesmos erros continuaram. Tentei tambm rodar os programas como root e nada.
Algum tem alguma idia ? Por que diabos o sane-find-scanner reconhece o scanner e os programas no ?
