Look at latest ncurses (4.2-`date +%y%m%d`).  You can easily find it
at (say) freshmeat.  The tarball already contains c++ wrapper library,
along with demo program.

If you need real OO programming over ncurses, or have DOS (Borland C)
experience, take a look at Turbo Vision for Linux.
