tgoto function

Hi,
  I've been trying to use the tgoto function, but I still can't figure
out how to use it. Anytime I try to compile it, appears something like
"undefined reference to tgoto". If anybody can help me, I would be very
pleased.

pd. And if you can help me with semaphores too, that would be great!!!
