Hi,

I need help with a project. Here's the situation:

When a system error occurs, Unix will write hardware 
information to /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log. The 
hardware errors are usually given in HEX digits.

I need help with converting the HEX digit to 
binary and then look for the high bits. I have a 
book that will interpret what the high(1) bits 
mean.
