Hello All,
Fews weeks ago, I asked on this mailing list, whether anyone has an idea
from where can I get the least square fitting alogrithm.
Well, I have found a package called LASSPTools developed at Cornell
University and supported by IBM. It is a collection of Unix utilities for
numerical analysis and graphics.
The package deals with data filtering, numerical processing, data display
programs, and input processing programs. It is a great set of tools that I
highly recommend you to take a look at it. Distributions are available for
anonymous download for free (source code included) for Linux, Alpha, irix,
PowerPC, RS6000, Sparc, .., with man pages ... Quite a neat package.
The problem!
^^^^^^^^^^^^
I am not able to run the "fit_it" routine which does non linear squares
parameter fitting on a data file specified on the command line. Which is
exactly what I need.
So if anyone of you has enough interest to get it and direct me, it would
be like an unforgettable favor.
I already contacted the authors/contributors but I never got faster
answers than this list.
Thanks a lot, and do check the tools. They're quite good.
