What is the history on this info below....here are my thoughts but I
don't
know if they've been raised before or not...

Regarding Certification Reqs: You MAY want to be in a position to
require
folks to recertify but this is typically not done until a product goes
through two major revisions - in other words, minor revisions don't
require
recertification, but 2 major revs imply that old certs are VERY outdated
and
thus devalue the certification so it is within the certifying body's
best
interest to keep the certification viable by making CCR necessary....not
sure if the major rev syndrome applies in the linux world or not...

Finally, I don't think you would ever want to state that you update
exams
every 2 years.  In the world of technology, 2 years is an enormously
long
time and this could again devalue the certification - you can do it,
just
don't state it....for instance, CompTIA does get criticized for this
policy....
