Hello, everyone,

I'm trying to use mount.cifs against a VFiler 3140 (running NetApp OnTap Release
7.3.3P5).

Mounting shares directly works as expected. Mounting subdirs in a share does
not, i.e.

  mount.cifs //server/share ... is OK, but
  mount.cifs //server/share/dir ... fails.

I tested both an older cifs.ko (1.45) as well as a newer one (the one used in
openSUSE 11.3, sorry, don't have the version no. handy).

In both cases mount.cifs gives me "mount error 6", which translates to "No such
device or address".
But the directory definitely does exist (mounting the subdir with a WinXP
client does
work).

I'm attaching a PCAP trace to illustrate the problem (the directory name is
'import').

Any hints would be appreciated.

Thanks -- Till
