Did you edit the lvm.conf to enable cluster locking

Update lvm2.conf

Standard lvm commands are "clusterized" (told to talk to the clvm daemon)
by using the following two lines in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf:

locking_type = 3
locking_library = "/lib/liblvm2clusterlock.so"
