Try to boot with the 2.6.9 kernel !

after the resets boot from an emergency cd and then mount your partition to have an access to your log .
then check in the log file for infos .

Did you rebuild also your initrd file and System.map file ?

Hello everyone,

I compiled and installed a 2.6.9 kernel no problem. When the lilo boot window opens it gives me a choice of 2.4.28 kernel and the new 2.6.9 kernel. 2.4.28 works no problem. But when I try to start the 2.6.9 I get "Loading....." then the box resets. /sbin/lilo gives no error. Everything in /etc/lilo.conf points to the right places. I think it's a config problem. As a general rule what should I be looking for?

Hope you can help.
