Hello,
I'm running a dual-boot setup (RH5.0 & win95) and I lost eth0 last night
after hooking up a new CD-ROM drive and removing a slaved hard drive. I
have the jumpers on all devices set according to the manufacturer's
instructions. I have been running the stock 2.0.32 kernel that previously
had no problem finding the NetGear card and loading the driver module. The
new CD-ROM is recognized just fine by Linux. The only disconcerting
message I see during the boot is "ide2: ports already in use. skipping
probe." Windows sees both the CD-ROM drive and the NIC.
Any Ideas? Thanks in advance.
Michael
