Greetings:

In between the time I compiled sendmail 8.9.0 and last night when I tried
to compile sendmail 8.9.1a, something has changed on my beast (Slackware,
2.0.35) and the compile is bombing.

I'm doing something consistently, because the compile also fails on two
other Linux machines under my control. (And trying to recompile 8.9.0
fails as well, so I've inadvertently
done something -- and it's driving me mad!)<!>.

It's tied in with db-2.4.14, I think. Everything is ok until the final
linking and then:

make: *** [sendmail] Error 1

libdb.a is in /usr/local/lib where it's supposed to be.

I've prodded and poked and I'm out of ideas or my brain is fried. Anybody
have a clue, please!

Thanks!
