Maybe you could specify thing on the boot: prompt to tell the kernel   
where are the network adapters...
But why don't you install the system without the network cards and plug   
them after ??
it seem obvious that the Slackware kernels don't like your config ...
Then you will compile a kernel specialy configured for your computer ....

Hi, I'm planning to set up a firewall server using a pentium II 350 with
128mb of ram.After creating the boot and root disk using bare.i as a
boot disk(slackware 3.5.0,kernel 2.0.34), the kernel just hangs after
detecting the floppy disk drive.FYI I'm using two 3c905b XL ethernet
card for network connection.I've also tried using the net.i as a boot
disk but that doesn't works also.when i removed out the two network
cards the damned thing works..:( i thought that the 3c905b XL was
supported?? where did i do wrong?
