[I'd normally ask this in the linux-net mailing list, but it has got
too busy for me to keep up with things there...]

I have a need to set up a series of linux boxes in series on coax
link, with each box using a 3Com 3C509-Combo card (dated 1992).

These cards can use either the RJ-45 (twisted pair), coax or an (old)
AUI interface.

The card needs to be software switched to use a particular interface.
I could use an old dos boot disk with a 3com utility program on it,
but surely I can do with with linux.

Does anyone know how this is done?

Thanks.

Cheers
Tony
