I don't use LinuxConfig, but, in principle, what you have to do is find the
CHAT script which is run to operate your modem (the operand of the CONNECT
option of PPPD) and then modify it to send "ATM0\r" and expect "OK" before the
call is placed (via the ATD command). N.B.: I've quoted the command from
memory, and it would be best if you were to consult the manual which came with
your modem to verify it.
