Hi, I am about to install Linux (most probably Redhat 5.2) on an Intel Nightshade N440BX board (Pentium II 450, hot-swap scsi, 100mb ethernet, etc). Is is there anything I need to look out for in doing so? One problem I currently have after booting with the Redhat 5.2 boot disk is that it picks up the SymBios SCSI controller (as a generic NCR controller), and detects two seperate channels. Finds the disk on the first channel and then times out on the second one (there is nothing connected), and stays in a loop, displaying constant time-out messages. Has anyone installed linux on a nightshade that could give me some pointers? Thanks, - Andre'
