I have recently installed RedHat 5.2 and now I can only use 5 out 6 GB
of my harddrive. Fdisk and partitionmagic shows all space
This is what fdisk gives:

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 298 2393653+ b Win95 Fat32
/dev/hda2 315 790 3823470 5 Extended
/dev/hda3 299 314 128520 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda6 315 442 1028097 83 Linux native
/dev/hda7 443 570 1028128+ 83 Linux native
/dev/hda8 571 773 1630566 83 Linux native
/dev/hda9 774 789 128488+ 82 Linux Swap

But df gives this:

FileSystem 1024-blocks Used Available Capacity Mounted on
/dev/hda6 995115 181312 762397 19% /
/dev/hda1 2388964 2229084 159880 93% /mnt/c
/dev/hda8 124407 94213 23770 80% /home
/dev/hda7 1577565 1189150 306887 79% /usr

As you can see /dev/hda8 is 1.6GB according to fdisk but only 120MB
if you look at what df has to say. I can also only mount /dev/hda3 of
the two swap partitions. It is obviously the end of the disk that I
can't use.
I might also add that I could use the whoole harddrive before on an
earlier install with only one Extfs2 partition and one Linux swap. Oh
yes I use kernel 2.2.3 but the problem was there with 2.0.36 or whatever
comes with RedHat 5.2.
