When I try to use the "demand dial" feature of PPPD in Linux, I get:

    # /usr/sbin/pppd: demand dialling is not supported by kernel driver version 2.2.0

This message mentions that I am using version 2.2.0 of the kernel
driver. I am using version 2.3.3 of PPPD, and version 2.0.32 of the
kernel itself.

Does anyone out there know what the solution is? Is there a kernel
configuration parameter which I've missed? If not, is there a patch for
it? If so, what is it, and where would I find it?

Thanks.
