(A copy of this message has also been posted to the following newsgroups: alt.linux, alt.os.linux,comp.os.linux,comp.os.linux.help,comp.os.linux.questions,comp.os.linux.setup) I would like to boot on my SyJet connected with an APA1460. I've built a kernel with scsi and aha152x support included, then I boot using this kernel with the parameters root=/dev/sda1, aha152x=0x340,3,7,1. The aha parameters were observed when the pcmcia card and the syjet were detected during a normal boot on the hard disk. With the same parameters but with the new kernel, the process is the same except when the message "trying softwere interrupt, lost" instead of "ok" comes. Where is my mistake, has somebody already booted on a root filesystem on a SyJet /pcmcia ? -- Moeri Nicolas ROSO - DMA - EPFL CH-1015 Lausanne, Suisse tel: (+41 21) 693 42 44, email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] tel prive: 021 616 97 48
