Hello,

I compiled a kernel using modules wherever possible. One of these places
was my cdrom drive. I have a Philip/LMS cm206 cdrom. When I statically
compiled the kernel the drive always worked fine. Using modules (with
kerneld) when I try to run Workbone the drive light just keeps flashing
and workbone hangs. lsmod shows cdrom.o and cm206.o loaded and I can't
kill workbone or unload the modules. Also when workbone hangs the cdrom is
unusuable until I reboot. Any ideas on what's wrong or what I should
change?

Also one last question. I download the linuxconf program. Does anyone else
use this? Is it proven safe to use on Slackware Linux? I'd like to use it,
but don't want to ruin the system somehow.
