Hi, I'm having a baffling time trying to get CGI to work with Apache.
I dont think its really a CGI problem, (I wouldnt be troubling people
here if I thought it was) However, everytime I try to execute a CGI
script thru a browser it fails and I get:
perl: can't load library 'libdb.so.1'
However, I don't think its just a perl problem either as I get the same
message (without the perl bit) when I try to start up vim
(-rwxr-xr-x 1 root bin 1002432 Apr 17 06:49 /usr/bin/vi*)
as a non-root user. (They are both the same one..its not to do with paths)
(vi: can't load library 'libdb.so.1')
I'm using Slackware 3.4 on a Pentium and Perl5.003
I've scoured the net for references to libdb.so.1 but only found the reference
to a security problem with libdb.so.1.85.4 and nothing else. I think this
might
be a PATHs problem, but I have placed copies of libdb.so.1.85.4 renamed as
libdb.so.1 in perl's @INC paths.
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 Apr 10 09:46 /usr/lib/libdb.so.1
-> libdb.so.1.85.4
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 67432 May 8 02:20
/usr/lib/perl5/i486-linux/5.00403/auto/DB_File/libdb.so.1
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 67432 May 8 02:21
/usr/lib/perl5/i486-linux/5.00403/auto/GDBM_File/libdb.so.1
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 67432 May 8 02:21
/usr/lib/perl5/i486-linux/5.00403/auto/sdbm/libdb.so.1
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 67432 May 9 00:09
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/i486-linux/libdb.so.1
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 67432 May 9 00:09
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/libdb.so.1
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 67432 May 7 23:36
/usr/lib/perl5/libdb.so.1
citadel:/usr/local/apache# find /usr/lib -name libdb.so.1.85.4 -exec ls -l
{} \;
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 67432 Mar 13 1996 /usr/lib/libdb.so.1.85.4
Any ideas, and I'd be really grateful...
Thanks, Tony.
