I'm having problems with majordomo & mail due to an alias problem. If I run mkaliases /etc/aliases it returns; /usr/sbin/mkaliases: unknown file type , , for /etc/aliases. I reinstalled smail to get a default aliases file and the same problem exists. Permissions have ranged from 600 to 4777, no luck. alias -p returns nothing. Debian 1.3.1r6, libc-5.4.38, kernel 2.0.33 or 2.1.101, bash-2.0 The aliases file is a text file, not dbm. Configuration paths are correct as far as I can tell. I've reviewed the smail docs, majordomo docs, majordomo faq and find no problems. ./wrapper completes with no errors. Localhost submittals to majordomo work but submittals to list-name don't. Copied /etc/aliases to /etc/smail just incase. Been working on this three days now with no luck. Any help would be most welcome. I'll include the aliases file incase it's a formating problem.
