ftp timeout

    I am new to linux.
    I setup a ftp server using slackware.

    while I connect through other unix server, it is OK, the respond is 
fast, but when I connect through my win'95 it shows a message :

    An operation was aborted or timed out.

    It should not be my win'95 setting because I connect to other unix 
server is OK. Can any one show me, how to config ftp server so it respond 
faster. 

    The ftp server that I am using is Version wu-2.4(1).
