Which RedHat 5 are you running. I'm running RedHat 5.1 with all of the
latest updates aplied, and I have ncurses 4.2. I would suggest, therefore,
that all that you need to do is to get ncurses-4.2-8.i386,rpm from RedHat,
and then issue:
rpm -Uvh ncurses-4.2-8.i386.rpm
