I try to print to a remote printer in a linux network (the ethernet network
is working ok), but I can not print.

The network is a computer with Red Hat Linux 5.0 (as a server) and others
NT and linux machines. A HP5 printer is connected to the server and works
perfectly in local mode. The problem arrive when I try to print from other
node with Red Hat linux 5.2 via a Remote lpd queue.

I get the follow error:

"Error printing test page to queue lp0"
"Error reason: lpr: connect: No such file or directory jobs queued, but
cannot start daemon"

I restarted lpd daemon in both computers, but sill do not work.

does anybody know what the problem is?

Many thanks in advance and best regards.
