Viper 550

Hello I am running Red Hat 5.1 kernel 2.0.33,new install and am trying to
get the diamond viper v550/w 16 Meg  to work with Xwindows. It comes up but
with a screen the size of king kong unusable. I have tried to use <ctrl>
<alt> <num +> with no success.any help would be appriciated.
