They aren't backwards compatible with any card for which there is a driver
for Linux and there's no driver for the Live! itself yet.
Creative says on their webpages that the Linux driver for the Live! is
under development, and OSS recently told me that they are trying to get
the neccesary information from Creative so they can start making a driver.
