Hi,

I was wondering whether anybody could help me with setting up Linux on a
Compaq Armada 6500. It installs OK from a bootable CD, but I can't seem
to get X11 or networking going.
I can't get X11 to work, since the notebook uses a video card that I
couldn't find in the list during xf86config. It's an 'ATI Rage PRO AGP
2x' which uses an apparently modified Mach64 chip.
The problem with networking is that the Armada uses a Xircom CreditCard
10/100+Modem 56. Seems there are no drivers readily available for that
one.
Anybody know how I can get those two running?
And could someone perhaps even tell me how to get a bootable CD for
Slackware? I downloaded all distribution files, but I can't figure out
how to combine the boot and the root disk into one boot image. (I hope
it's legal to burn your own Slackware-derived CDs (I even bought a 3.6
CD from Walnut Creek, but it vanished mysteriously)).

TIA,
Juergen
