Hi!

I have a Compaq Armada 6500 and by now, most aspects of Linux work quite
nicely. The only exception is X11. I am using the Mach64 server and I
get _some_ image, but it is horribly garbled: In low resolutions
(640x480, 800x600), I get vertical stripes in the background color all
over the display and in higher resolutions, I get the same, but parts of
the display are tinted dark blue (the normal background is a medium
blue.
Furthermore, if I compile a kernel with support for frame buffer devices
and ATI Mach64 display support, I don't get a penguin while I'm booting.
Instead, I see thin, green, vertical stripes and multicolored dots all
over the display.
Does anybody know of a way to properly introduce X11 to the ATI Rage LT
Pro AGP 2x card?

TIA,
Juergen
