Yes, I believe this can be done with certain restrictions.  I believe the
Voodoo 3D accelerator cards can be used in paralell.  But this is only done
rending 3D objects with software that actually use the Voodoo cards.  For
instance, if you have two voodoo cards and ask them two render a large
image, they will split the lines between them, one will take the odd lines,
one will take the even lines.  This (in theory ;)  will make the image
render twice as fast.
        You can check out www.linux3d.org for information about 3dfx drivers for
linux.  Also, you may want to take a look at www.xfree86.org, since Xfree86
3.3.4 was recently been released with Voodoo Banshee and Voodoo3 drivers
included.
