2.2.10

I have recently upgraded my kernel to 2.2.10, or at least I tried to.
Everything went smooth and I chose all the same components as I normally do
but when I tried to boot it...  It hung after it decompressed the kernel.  I
am building off of RedHat 5.2 but  I had similar problems with an older
Slackware version as well (on a friends PC).

Can anyone shed any light on this?
