Hello all,
I have set up a net for my lab. We use the internal IP 192.168.1.*
and config a linux box as a server(192.168.1.1).
When we connect to the linux box via telnet or ftp, we have to wait a long
time for the login prompt. It seems telnetd(or tcpd) would like to
do reverse name lookup which slow down the connection.
Though i can add all the (IP,name) pairs to /etc/hosts, there are dozens of
client PC in the net, it seems a bit difficult.
Can i disable the reverse lookup of telnetd or tcpd without many
difficult, such as adding a swith?

Many thanks.
