Makefile has modified time in the future??

What does that mean?  How do I get rid of it?
I've been trying to compile gcc, and I get the above warning, saying
something like:  "Warning!!  Makefile has modified time in the future. 
Your build maybe incomplete."

Thanks in advance for any pointers.
