I know that for example in Germany the Telekom needs to connect your TDSL (in fact it 
is ADSL, but they call it Telekom-DSL) you need a special driver which is only 
available for Windows at this time.

This driver provides a PPPoE (PPP over Ethernet) which Telekom needs to charge.
Maybe your ISP needs this too, so be careful...
