Dear people,
I have recenlty purchased a m741lmrt motherboard with an SiS 620
integrated video chip.
I can't seem to make work the video quite right. In 800x600x16bit,
in KDE, when moving a window I sometimes get pices of the background
overdrawing parts of it. I have already tried many options for
XF86Config, like no_bitblt, no_accel, no_imageblt, fifo[cons|agg|mod],
fast_vram, and nothing worked.
There is an interesting point about no_bitblt. It does solve the
problem, but creates a new one. The display gets smudgy, as if the
resolution has dropped. The sizes of icons and stuff don't change,
so I guess the resolution is still there. Also, the mouse cursor
disappears, so I must turn on sw_cursor.
The no_accel option simply hangs up the machine (awfully).
Is there someone out there who can do something for me?
