I had some success with the socks 5 package on www.nec.com.  (Sorry, I
cannot remember the exact page but I believe you may find it with
"search".)  

However, for web surfing, you would setup netscape just like you would on
a windows box.  Just go to Edit->Preferences->Advanced->Proxies.  You can
select manual, or let MS Proxy Server supply the correct settings in with
Automatic.  Either will work for netscape.

Now, back to socks5.  I was never able to get things like licq to
communicate from my box thru the MS Proxy Server.  We finally junked proxy
server in favor of nat and ipfw on freebsd.  Now, our Linux boxen have no
problems routing thru the box to the inet.
