In the 6.0 Redhat install guide there was an appendix (C) which gave lists
of packages and their sizes, I am now trying to install 6.2 on an old machine
(486) with limited disk space (about 500 mb plus 16 for /boot 64 for swap)
I am doing a custom install which means I have to wade through a long list
of packages. The problem is that the install program gives no information
about sizes, does not total then as you go, and if you exceed your disk
space gets caught in an endless loop. The 6.2 documentation CD contains no list
of rpms that I can find. Having failed to get in under the
limit three times (missed by 24 mb last time) I would like to find a list
of rpm installed sizes or a list of the rpms needed for a minimal xwindows
workstation and the needed space.
