I have made a small shell script to parse the log files to give me some
stats. But for a normal user it doesn't give access to the
/var/log/messages file. So I set uid root for the file so that it's
permissions become

        -rwsrwxr-x 1 root root

But still the normal user is not able to use the script. What am I
missing?
